Arboriculture

These crops are known as winter crops as they are sown in winter/fall and harvested in spring. The crop seeds are sown from October to December and harvested from April to June. For Example: wheat, garlic, peas, grams, chickpea, coriander.

The agricultural practice where the crops are grown in water instead of soil, these types of agriculture is called hydroponics. The essential nutrients for the growth of the plant are supplied in the water where the crop roots are suspended.

The formulation of pesticide which consists of active ingredients and wetting agents in dry, finely ground powder form is known as wettable powder (WP)
