Primitive agricultural practices where farmers clear out small areas of the forest to cultivate on that particular area after burning the remaining biomass. It is also known as slash and burn agriculture as initially the farmers slash the plants of a limited area and burn the remain of the slashed plants in order to cultivate later.

As the name suggests, agricultural practices that are done under strict supervision of variable aspect of the cultivation are for better growth and productivity of crops is known as precision agriculture. It is also called precision farming.
