Crops that produce starch rich seed which are consumed just like cereals but are produce of non grass species. For example: quinoa, buckwheat, chiaseeds.

Those crops that produce seeds and are propagated through seeds are known as seed propagated crops. For Example: mango, apple, maize, wheat.

The branch of science that deals with the study of disorders, anomalies and diseases along with microbes found in plants is defined as plant pathology.
