Definition
Subsistence agriculture refers to the agricultural practices where farmers focus on producing food for their family, however a small portion of the produce is separated for sales. In conclusion, when large amount of the final produce is consumed by the producer and little amount of the produce is subjected in sales purposes is known as subsistence agriculture.
