Definition

The agricultural practices conducted in city areas (urban and semi urban) to utilize empty spaces such as rooftops, balconies, backyards and other vacant spaces to grow or raise livestock such as poultry, swine or goats, mostly for home consumption is known as peri urban agriculture.
