Plantation Crops and Spices

These crops are mainly cultivated for the production of sugar. It mainly includes two major crops; sugarcane and sugar beets. However, sugar can be produced from other crops, i.e. from the sap of maple trees and sweet sorghums.

The various techniques which are used to prolong the shelf life of any plant produce such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, etc.

A branch of agricultural sciences that deals with the study of production, management, utilization and improvement of plants for their use as fuel, food, forage and more is known as agronomy.
